About The Sera Mey Tsawa Khangtsen Project
The Sera Mey Tsawa Khangtsen Project exists to help in the development and educational capacity of the exiled Tibetan learning centers.
The project seeks to preserve and restore Tibet's unique cultural and spiritual heritage through maintaining and developing the traditional Tibetan educational system within the exiled community.
The project will have an immediate, profound impact on hundreds of Tibetan children and adolescents by
establishing a residential school that will provide:
- Housing
- Basic education
- Higher education
- Essential health care
The Sera Mey Tsawa Khangtsen Project is a vehicle designed to facilitate the intentions of good-hearted individuals like you, and ensure that your contributions go directly to the Tibetan children who depend on your support.
Sean Brannan, the SMRP's founder, has coordinated these efforts upon the advice of Sermey Tsawa Woser Rinpoche in conjunction with the Dalai Lama Foundation's Humanitarian Assistance Program.
Dalai Lama Foundation
The Dalai Lama Foundation has set up a direct link with the managers of Tsawa Khangtsen to ensure that 95% of proceeds are used for the development of the residential school.
