In 1959, Tibet's culture and population changed forever.

After ten years, the Chinese communist government was now in full control.
A mass exodus of monks and civilians followed.

Well over 6,000 monasteries no longer existed.
The largest concentration of Tibetans settled in Bylakuppe, India.
And the Sera Mey University relocated.

Residential School Project

The Sera Mey Tsawa Khangtsen Project was founded to preserve and restore Tibet's unique cultural and spiritual heritage through maintaining and developing the traditional Tibetan educational system within the exiled community.

Housing, Basic Education, Higher Education, Health Care

The project will have an immediate, profound impact on hundreds of Tibetan children and adolescents by offering a residential school that will provide basic education, higher education, and essential health care.

Donations are Tax Deductible in the U.S.A.
